John came home with a 1st place with his 1987 Pontiac Fiero.

Our Pontiac Club took 3rd place for our beautiful display celebrating Pontiacs 100th Anniversary.

A grateful thanks to Stacy for creating the four 100th Anniversary plaques that were on each corner. Randy made the large 100th plaque that adorned the center. Thanks Randy!

A big thank you to all the POI members that helped make this event a success.

The Firebird Family Joined POI Family at Our February Meeting

At our last meeting on February 11, 2026, we were absolutely thrilled to welcome the New Family, who shared amazing insights about Firebird Raceway! John New kicked things off with sharing that Firebird, established by his dad in 1968, has a rich history a registered as a  National Historical Site, thanks to the dedicated efforts of his brother Scott in 2014. John proudly represents the second generation, with his sons are stepping in as the third! With such a legacy, the value of Firebird is immeasurable, and they’re committed to preserving its footprint while enhancing safety. Excitement is in the air for this year’s Boise Roadster Show, marking an incredible 53 years of tradition at Expo—huge thanks to POI for our continued support!

Then Conner took the stage and talked about the exhilarating world of club racing, inviting us to join in on the fun! With 32 clubs currently, including the talented Hooligans, he emphasized that while winning is fantastic, the real goal is to enjoy the experience. Club racing happens every month on Friday evenings, where many racers take a half day off to get in on the action. Joining costs just $50 a year, with entry fees ranging from $45 to $50. It takes 46 races to reach the Silver, 12 for Bronze, and 6 for Copper—what a fantastic journey awaits!
